The Junkers A50 Junior was the first pure sports airplane designed and built by Junkers in the euphoria of the hedonistic 1920s. Junkers wanted to use series production to bring a "car of the air" to the people. Unfortunately, after the onset of the Great Depression in 1928, the expected sales figures did not materialize. In my eyes, however, the A50 Junior is the most beautiful aircraft Junkers has ever built. From 2022, there will be a technically ultra-modern replica in ultralight construction for private pilots, making Hugo Junkers' vision a reality after all.
